Symphonic Journey | FINLANDIA 2022 weekend workshop was held over the weekend of 2-3 July at Te Tuhi Art Gallery, Pakuranga. Conductor Tom Chester was vibrant and positive, and brought the music to life. Our orchestra for the weekend was composed of MSO mentor and community players, and students and community players from the Howick School of Music and Tironui Music Trust. Positive feedback was received from students participating in the workshop, and the audience watching the informal concert at the end of the workshop.
A huge thank you to the Howick Local Board, and Auckland Council for helping make this event possible.
