Applications are now open for the Manukau Symphony Orchestra’s 2027 Youth Scholarship Programme!
The MSO Youth Scholarships provide young musicians with an exciting opportunity to develop their musical skills and experience orchestral playing alongside professional and community musicians of all ages and backgrounds.
Scholarship recipients receive up to $750 towards instrumental tuition and/or associated costs, MSO membership for one year, mentoring from experienced and professional musicians, and opportunities to perform with the MSO.
The programme supports young musicians to build confidence, musical skills and a sense of belonging through the unique experience of making music together.
Musicians aged 25 or under at the time of applying are eligible, with preference given to applicants from Manukau and South Auckland. Applications from deserving young musicians from outside the region are also welcomed.
Applications close Monday 9 November 2026.
