Jasmine Jessen – Soprano

Jasmine Jessen is a resident young artist with The Aotearoa New Zealand Opera Studio (TANZOS), currently pursuing a Master of Music in Advanced Opera Studies at Waikato University. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Classical Voice Performance from the New Zealand School of Music in Wellington. Recently, Jasmine performed the soprano solo in Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana at the Hamilton Arts Festival. In 2024, she was awarded runner-up at the OTD Aria Finals in Dunedin and was a finalist in the 2023 New Zealand Lockwood Aria Competition. Jasmine has performed the title role in Massenet’s Cendrillon with NZSM in 2023. Additionally, she has attended the New Zealand Opera School in Whanganui three times.
